Greg Simmonds.

Early-career researcher, with knowledge of best-in-class research methods stemming from experience in both the commercial and academic sectors. Passionate about the visual-cognitive processes relevant to packaging design, having conducted such research across many FMCG categories. Also interested in neuroscience methods (including neuromarketing), advanced statistics, increasing efficiency with scripted solutions, and promoting healthy dietary behaviour.

I am currently working on a 2-year research grant as a Research Consultant with the Department of Experimental Psychology at the University of Oxford (Jan 2017 to Dec 2018). This is fully funded by a major FTSE 100 FMCG company, and involves developing gold-standard research methods and assessing packaging design effectiveness for commercial and academic research outputs. I am the sole full-time employee on the project, and took the lead on writing the proposal and preparing costings. I consider this an extension of my existing career in market research, as well as of my previous academic research.
